Continental GT S And GTC S By Bentley

Our First Look

Words by Jack Keough

Bentley turns up the temperature once again with the introduction of the new Continental GT S and GTC S—performance-focused grand tourers inspired by the limited-edition Supersports. Drawing from the Continental GT Speed’s advanced chassis technology and paired with Bentley’s latest hybrid powertrain, the fourth-generation S models are the most powerful ever to carry the badge, engineered for drivers who value both drama and discipline.

At first glance, the sporting intent is unmistakable. The Blackline Specification sharpens the silhouette with gloss black matrix grilles, a darkened front spoiler, black Bentley wings, and bold BENTLEY lettering. Beluga black mirror caps, sill extensions, and a sculpted rear diffuser reinforce the lean, purposeful stance. Dark-tinted LED matrix headlamps—shared only with the GT Speed—anchor the front, while dark taillamps and sports exhaust finishers complete the rear. Standard 22-inch ten-swept-spoke wheels are offered in silver, with optional gloss black and machined finishes available, allowing the S models to skew either understated or overtly aggressive.

Beneath the surface, the transformation is even more compelling. Bentley’s latest Ultra Performance Hybrid system pairs a V8 engine with an electric motor to deliver seamless, forceful acceleration alongside enhanced efficiency. The result is a 0–60 mph sprint of just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph—figures that place the Continental GT S firmly in supercar territory, yet delivered with the composure and isolation expected of a true grand tourer. Advanced systems, including active all-wheel drive, rear-wheel steering, electronic limited-slip differential, and Bentley Dynamic Ride, work in concert to provide agility without sacrificing comfort, whether carving mountain roads or crossing continents.

The Continental GTC S brings the same dynamic capability to an open-air experience. With the roof lowered, the car reveals a more expressive character—one where performance and presence are heightened by sound, light, and motion. Even so, refinement remains central. The fabric roof operates swiftly and quietly, preserving the coupe’s sculptural lines while offering year-round usability. It’s a convertible designed not as a compromise, but as a different interpretation of the same confident intent.

Inside, the S models establish a distinct and focused identity. A unique two-colour upholstery split, fluted seats, and extensive use of Dinamica technical fabric across key touchpoints create a cabin that feels both purposeful and indulgent. Piano black veneer mirrors the exterior’s dark detailing, while optional high-gloss carbon fibre, contrast stitching, and full leather upholstery allow owners to fine-tune the balance between sport and tradition. As ever, craftsmanship is paramount—every surface considered, every detail intentional.

The Continental GT S and GTC S occupy a compelling space in Bentley’s evolving lineup. They are not merely faster or darker versions of an icon, but a clear statement of direction: performance sharpened, luxury modernized, and grand touring redefined for a new era.
