The electric SUV market is getting crowded, and Cadillac has no intention of blending in.
The OPTIQ-V brings the attitude of Cadillac’s V-Series into a smaller, more approachable electric SUV, combining dramatic design with the kind of performance that makes an EV genuinely entertaining.
And in Deep Ocean Tintcoat, it looks fantastic.
The details are what make it work. Blue Brembo® brake calipers add a flash of color against 21-inch satin graphite wheels, while blue accents continue through the rear-quarter windows in a precision pattern inspired by the V-Series badge. The front end gets its own treatment, with a V-pattern grille, gloss-black splitter and more aggressive fascia. An available carbon-fiber package takes things even further.
We particularly like the standard black roof against the panoramic glass roof, which gives the OPTIQ-V a lower, more purposeful appearance. Cadillac also offers Magnus Metal Frost, a matte metallic gray, and Deep Ocean Tintcoat.
Inside, the V-Series treatment continues without becoming too much. Santorini Blue accents, V-Series perforations, carbon-fiber trim and subtle badging give the cabin a sporty character, while the 33-inch display and 19-speaker AKG Studio Audio System with Dolby Atmos® deliver the expected dose of Cadillac technology.
But the OPTIQ-V isn’t simply a styling exercise.
V-Mode puts the performance settings right at the driver’s fingertips, allowing you to save preferred configurations and access them through a dedicated V button on the steering wheel. Competitive Mode adjusts the traction-management systems for greater agility, while Launch Control is designed to deliver repeatable straight-line acceleration.
And the number is impressive: 0–60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
That is properly quick.
Brembo performance front brakes are standard, with available blue or red calipers, and Super Cruise comes standard as well, making the OPTIQ-V equally comfortable settling into a highway cruise as it is finding a more interesting road.
That may be the real appeal here.
The OPTIQ-V doesn’t ask you to choose between an electric SUV that makes sense every day and one that makes you want to drive it. It delivers both, wrapped in a design that feels unmistakably Cadillac.
For us, that’s a pretty compelling EV sweet spot.
