We’ve been waiting to get back behind the wheel of the Lucid Gravity for some extended drive time, and a few weeks ago, during a summer heat wave, it finally came together. We’ve long been impressed by Lucid’s commitment to design, spacious interiors, and versatility, and Gravity makes a particularly compelling case for an electric SUV that doesn’t compromise on any of them.
Its proportions balance presence and practicality, with a substantial frunk, sleek profile, elongated cabin, pronounced shoulders, and sporty rear spoiler. It feels substantial without becoming cumbersome, and the result is an SUV designed as much for everyday life as it is for performance.
Inside, Gravity introduces Lucid’s Clearview Cockpit, centered around a 34-inch curved OLED display positioned directly within the driver’s line of sight. Lucid’s Pilot Panel returns with quick-access controls, while a new glass center console slides open to reveal additional storage. Next-generation software and over-the-air updates are designed to keep the vehicle evolving long after delivery.
Performance remains a defining part of the equation. Gravity can accelerate from 0–60 mph in less than 3.5 seconds while offering more than 1,500 pounds of payload capacity and up to 6,000 pounds of towing capability.
For 2027, Lucid has refined the Gravity lineup with more standard equipment and a simpler trim strategy. All Lucid models now include DreamDrive 2 Premium advanced driver assistance and an additional key fob.
At the top of the range, Gravity Grand Touring arrives with DreamDrive 2 Premium, the Comfort & Convenience Package, Power Package, and 21/22-inch wheels as standard.
New for 2027 is the optional Prestige Package, bringing together 22/23-inch wheels, Surreal Sound Pro, the Dynamic Handling Package, and third-row seating. Customers can also continue to specify the Technology Package, DreamDrive 2 Pro, and Towing Package individually.
Gravity’s appeal is ultimately quite simple: it delivers the space and capability expected of a luxury SUV without surrendering the design, performance, or sense of occasion that makes an electric Lucid feel different.
