The 2027 Porsche 911 GT3 S/C

Our First Look

Words By Corinia Williams

Owning a Porsche 911 has always been something special—the joy of belonging to a club of drivers forever in pursuit of curving roads is everything. Now, the GT model line expands with a ride that will resonate not only with Porsche devotees but also draw in a new audience. Those who have long kept one eye on Italian supercars will now find an open-air experience like no other. The 2027 Porsche 911 GT3 S/C offers a high-revving six-cylinder boxer engine, inviting drivers to experience its unique, naturally aspirated sound without a roof.

This new model variant focuses squarely on those who prize visceral, open-air driving. The 2027 911 GT3 S/C delivers a pure, unfiltered experience, combining the lightweight construction of the 911 S/T with the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter boxer engine of the 911 GT3, producing 502 hp (375 kW) and 331 lb-ft of torque. Its name—GT3 S/C—stands for Sport Cabriolet, and the intent is unmistakable. Carbon fiber fenders and doors, drawn from the 911 S/T, meet a black windshield frame to create a silhouette that feels both engineered and expressive. In keeping with its identity as a driver’s car, it is offered exclusively with a short-ratio, lightweight six-speed GT Sport manual transmission.

A New Chapter In The Language Of The 911

The 911 GT3 S/C is the only open-top variant in the current 911 range configured as a pure two-seater—an experience designed for the driver and one considered a companion. “The new 911 GT3 S/C responds to our customers’ desire for sports cars that are particularly fun to drive,” notes Frank Moser, Vice President of the 911 and 718 model lines. “The exciting powertrain of the 911 GT3 comes into its own even more when driving without a roof—especially on winding country roads.” Notably, this has been achieved while maintaining a curb weight of just 3,322 pounds, even with a fully automatic top.

Open-Air Precision Meets GT Purity

A Cabriolet For The Devoted Driver

Lightweight materials define the car’s agility and sharpen its connection to the road. The black fabric roof is paired with a matching windshield frame, though both can be specified in body color for a more tonal expression. Inside, the cabin remains disciplined and focused. A pure two-seat configuration anchors the interior, with four-way Sport Seats Plus as standard. Optional folding lightweight bucket seats—constructed with CFRP shells—introduce a more sculptural presence. These seats integrate thorax airbags, electric height adjustment, and manual longitudinal positioning, while three-stage seat heating ensures comfort does not compromise intent. Black leather extends throughout the interior, including the sun visors and A-pillars, with the GT3 S/C insignia subtly embroidered along the rear trim.

For those inclined toward a more expressive finish, the optional Street Style Package—referred to internally as a “Director’s Cut” from the design studio Style Porsche—introduces a curated interplay of color and material. Pyro Red graphics trace the front fenders and extend into the “PORSCHE” side lettering, while Slate Grey Neo wheels ground the composition. Victory Gold brake calipers add a restrained flash beneath, with black lettering providing contrast. Within the wheel barrels, Pyro Red accents create an unexpected detail, visible only upon closer inspection. The newly outlined Porsche crest appears on the center caps, while black HD Matrix Design headlights and body-colored airblades refine the front fascia with a controlled intensity. The result is a car that moves between precision and presence—quietly assertive, yet impossible to overlook.
