Victoria Monét

Frequency of Love

Victoria Monét returns with Frequency of Love, the follow-up to her Grammy-winning Jaguar II and the next chapter in a career that has always moved effortlessly between songwriting, production and performance.
The 22-track album brings together an impressive cast of collaborators including SZA, Bruno Mars, Leon Thomas, Bryson Tiller, Chlöe and Lucky Daye. It follows “Let Me,” which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, along with “Reach Out” and “Juicy.” Victoria Monét’s official website
Monét arrived at her solo career with years of songwriting already behind her, having written for artists including Ariana Grande, BLACKPINK and Chloe x Halle. Jaguar II changed the scale of that story, earning seven Grammy nominations and winning Best R&B Album, while “On My Mama” became her biggest solo hit.
Frequency of Love feels less like a follow-up designed to repeat that success and more like an expansion.

After Jaguar II, Love Gets Bigger

The album moves through contemporary R&B, soul and house, with the sensuality and rhythmic precision that have become central to Monét’s sound. There are also nods to the music that shaped her, including interpolations of songs by Brandy and Kenny Lattimore.
Love, in Monét’s hands, is broader than romance. It moves through intimacy, desire, motherhood, friendship and self-worth, giving the album a sense of lived experience rather than simply a collection of polished singles.
The collaborators add another dimension. SZA appears on “See You In My Dreams,” Bruno Mars joins Monét on “That’s Why I Love You,” and Leon Thomas and her daughter Hazel appear on “You Mean the World to Me.” Listen to Frequency of Love on Apple Music
After Jaguar II established Victoria Monét as an artist in her own right, Frequency of Love finds her with considerably more room to explore.
The frequency has changed. The voice is unmistakably hers.
