Audi’s design language has been on an impressive run in recent years, and with Massimo Frascella succeeding Marc Lichte as Audi’s Chief Creative Officer (Head of Design) in June 2024, his influence is already evident on the all-new third-generation Q7. The SUV retains its muscular character while introducing a more refined and confident presence. Audi’s trademark four rings sit above a noticeably higher hood, giving the front end greater visual strength. A larger Singleframe grille, redesigned functional air intakes and pronounced wheel arches further emphasize its width and athletic stance. Digital daytime running lights, Digital Matrix LED headlights and an available illuminated Singleframe grille create a distinctive lighting signature.
The new Q7 makes an equally strong impression in profile. An upswept shoulder line and signature quattro blisters flow into a more upright D-pillar, creating a cleaner silhouette while increasing rear headroom and interior space. The SQ7 distinguishes itself with unique S-specific front and rear bumpers, a honeycomb grille, aluminum-look roof rails, mirror housings and window surrounds, as well as standard 22-inch bi-color wheels. Buyers can further personalize the SQ7 with available Black Optic and S Sport packages, along with optional 23-inch performance wheel designs.
Inside, Audi continues its minimalist approach with a cabin that emphasizes precision and clarity. The dashboard and door panels are seamlessly integrated, while clean horizontal lines and carefully considered surfaces create a calm, architectural environment. Even the air vents are discreetly integrated into the design, yet remain electronically adjustable through the digital interface.
For the first time, the Q7 offers available automatic doors for easier entry and exit. Optional Sports Seats Plus feature illuminated elements beneath the headrests that welcome occupants as the vehicle is locked or unlocked, while illuminated front door trim adds another subtle touch of theater.
Available with six or seven seats, the Q7 delivers impressive versatility and everyday usability. An available panoramic glass roof with switchable transparency enhances the spacious cabin with natural light at the touch of a button.
Power comes from a turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 producing 429 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, allowing the Q7 to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds. The SQ7 raises the performance significantly with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 generating 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, reducing the sprint to 60 mph to just 3.7 seconds.
Combining bold design, thoughtful luxury and serious performance, the all-new 2027 Audi Q7 and SQ7 represent the next evolution of Audi’s flagship luxury SUV.
