The New Lexus TZ

Our First Look

Lexus has heard the call. Expanding its electrified lineup for 2027, the brand introduces the all-new Lexus TZ, a three-row, all-electric SUV designed to blend refined luxury with engaging driving dynamics. Our first look suggests that this latest addition to the Lexus family embraces a new “Driving Lounge” concept, balancing spacious, lounge-like comfort with the responsive driving experience that has long defined the brand.

Built on a dedicated battery-electric platform, the TZ features an open, airy cabin designed to maximize space, comfort and quietness for every passenger. Lexus says the SUV combines the smooth, effortless ride expected of a modern EV with the confident handling and driver engagement that remain central to its identity.

Its sculptural exterior strikes a careful balance between elegance and aerodynamic efficiency, helping maximize driving range while delivering one of the most refined designs in the Lexus SUV lineup. Inside, craftsmanship remains a priority. Interior surfaces incorporate Forged Bamboo, sustainably sourced from Japan’s Shikoku Island, reflecting Lexus’ commitment to blending traditional techniques with environmentally conscious materials. The goal is to create a vehicle that enhances time spent with family and friends while fostering a genuine emotional connection behind the wheel.

With the absence of engine noise placing greater emphasis on cabin refinement, Lexus has invested heavily in sound management. Sound-absorbing materials, vibration-reducing structural design, and aerodynamic mirrors work together to minimize road and wind noise, resulting in what Lexus says is the quietest cabin of any SUV it has produced.

A New Chapter For Lexus EVs

#LexusTZ

Comfort extends to every seat. Slim front seats provide support without sacrificing style, while ventilated seating is available for the driver, front passenger, and second row. The front passenger and second-row seats can also be equipped with power ottomans—a first for a Lexus SUV—while the third row features sofa-inspired cushioning for longer journeys.  Cargo flexibility is equally impressive, with one-touch folding second- and third-row seats and soft-closing doors adding convenience and refinement.

Technology is equally comprehensive. Every Lexus TZ comes standard with the latest-generation Lexus Interface multimedia system, featuring faster processing, sharper graphics, an intuitive interface and AT&T 5G connectivity. New features include customizable home-screen widgets, an enhanced “Hey Lexus” voice assistant, full-screen navigation within the digital instrument cluster, and expanded EV Charge Management tools.

While full specifications have yet to be released, Lexus has already confirmed several highlights. Select models are expected to offer an estimated driving range of approximately 300 miles. DIRECT4 all-wheel drive will be standard across the lineup, while available Dynamic Rear Steering promises sharper handling and reduced body sway. An expansive panoramic glass roof with a power sunshade extends across all three rows, bringing additional light and openness to the cabin.

The Lexus TZ appears poised to become a compelling new entry in the growing luxury electric SUV segment. If it delivers on its promises of exceptional refinement, advanced technology and genuine driving enjoyment, it could become one of the most desirable three-row EVs arriving in 2027. Let’s Build One.
