Mercedes-Benz has reinvented an icon

Apologetic To No One

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class continues to be a stand-alone star in a world all of its own. Compared with SUV’s in general, luxury SUV’s and even off-roading SUV’s the G Wagen’s unique style that marries utility, functionality, luxury, and refinement is as perfect as its silhouette is definitive. The new G-Class showcases the most significant changes to the vehicle in its 40-year history all the while staying true to the ideology and traditions of the design. The new Mercedes-Benz G 550 is a true stunner and with the AMG G 63 Mercedes took something great and made it fantastic.

The new Mercedes-AMG G 63 is in many ways the classic G Wagen. With its straight edges, exposed door hinges, and blunt boxy shape intact the enhancements include a wider track that allows for more interior room, redesigned suspension, defining LED-ringed headlights and the gorgeous 22-inch Forged AMG cross-spoke black wheels give this Mercedes a ‘don’t mess with me’ look. The Mercedes-AMG G 63 raise the bar among performance vehicles with its handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter V8 bi-turbo engine generating 577 hp and 627 lb-ft maximum torque, capable of propelling the G 63 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds or some cases 3.9 seconds.

Style that never goes out of style

Mercedes-AMG G 63

The Mercedes-AMG G 63 features a crazy amount of standard equipment, including the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9-speed transmission, AMG Ride Control sports suspension, and the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT that lets you alter the throttle mapping, engine-mount stiffness, shifting behavior, damping rate, ESP intervention and more. A console paddle lets you select a range of preset modes, from Comfort to Sport+. Needless to say, keep it on Sport+ just for the exhilarating fun of it. There’s also an Individual mode that allows the driver to configure to their own liking.

The driving dynamics of the G 63 are further enhanced by its new double-wishbone independent front suspension and adaptive adjustable damping, and new AMG- specific off-road modes: Sand, Rock, and Trail. The AMG performance exhaust with adjustable flap system and distinctive side pipes, and a completely new roomer interior featuring COMAND® Navigation, 12.3″ central display, and 64-color ambient lighting further add to the comfort and performance enhancements.

From the AMG Performance steering wheel to the dual-flow exhaust system with side pipes below the rear doors emitting that distinctive AMG V8 sound this Mercedes-AMG G 63 places the style of utility second to staid luxury. If you are looking for a dual tailgate or soft closing doors Mercedes-Benz has a full range of SUVs for you to choose from in every price range. The point is the G550 or the G63 is for everyone that believes performance and classic design never go out of style. AMG G63.
