Aston Martin Vanquish

World Premiere in Venice

What a fab moment at this year’s Venice Film Festival, when Aston Martin unveiled the fabulous new Vanquish with a stunning reveal moment on the waters of the Venetian Lagoon. To make this moment even more special Aston Martin kept this event very very intimate with guests including George Clooney, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Douglas, Kevin Costner, and Adrien Brody as well as 007 himself Daniel Craig sporting a very low-key chic look—also a special shout out to Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso. Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin, said: “The arrival of Vanquish is a seminal moment for Aston Martin, completing the newest and strongest portfolio in our segment and reinforcing our ultra-luxury positioning.

It’s no secret that we are ardent fans of the Aston Martin DB12, but the new Vanquish takes things to an entirely new level. Limited to fewer than 1,000 production examples each year, it stands at the zenith of Aston Martin’s sports car range. This masterpiece showcases the brand’s exceptional in-house engineering, extending its storied legacy with unparalleled style befitting a true class leader. Powered by a new 5.2-liter Twin-Turbo V12, the Vanquish delivers extraordinary supercar performance, boasting immense in-gear acceleration and a top speed of 214 mph—the highest of any Aston Martin series production car to date.

Unprecedented Combination of Comfort and Performance

The Vanquish’s design exudes contemporary elegance with its sculpted physique, broad stance, and flowing curves. A key element in achieving this striking presence is the increased wheelbase; extending the distance between the A-pillar and front axle by 80mm, which elongates the hood and enhances the car’s rakish and luxurious profile. This extension amplifies the front-engine proportions, conveying a sense of speed and power with its teardrop form that captures the dynamic flow of propulsion from front to rear. The design also reflects Aston Martin’s deep ties with motorsport, drawing inspiration from both iconic Aston Martins of the past and present. The team incorporated intricate functional details reminiscent of today’s Formula One cars, as well as the sleek, aerodynamic shapes of the ‘Project Cars’ developed from production models for Le Mans racing in the 1960s.

Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, remarked: “The Vanquish is an iconic halo model for our sports car portfolio. We always strive to design beyond the expected, with both rationality and thoughtfulness. We’ve captured the immense performance and commanding purpose of the Vanquish while tempering its drama with a rare and unmistakable sense of elegance.” He further stated, “We have merged next-level, ultra-luxury performance with British-cool sports car styling to create a crowning Aston Martin V12 flagship for the ages.”

The craftsmanship and precision within the Vanquish’s interior are central to its design. As a purpose-built two-seat flagship, the Vanquish focuses on delivering an immersive driving experience for the driver and one lucky passenger. We’re particularly impressed by the blend of materials, which creates bold lines and a palpable sense of luxury and quality.

In a departure from traditional stitching, a subtle bright chrome horizon line adorns the dashboard, enhancing the overall aesthetic.

In an age where touch screens often dominate car interiors, the Vanquish masterfully integrates technology with tactile surfaces that preserve the feeling of luxury while remaining intuitive to use. All key driver controls are centrally mounted, ensuring that frequently used functions are within easy reach and reinforcing the clarity and simplicity of its driver-focused interior. And, for those who appreciate high-quality audio, the Bowers & Wilkins 15-speaker, double-amplified surround sound system is simply everything.
