This eagerly awaited, all-electric, high-performance ZDX Type S, crowned the most potent Acura to date, has begun gracing dealership floors. To note, this high-performance model qualifies for the Federal $7,500 EV Tax Credit.
Acura has taken the fun-to-drive factor in the Integra Type S and cleverly recreated that vibe in a powerful luxury electric SUV that will have you screaming with pure joy. With ZDX Type S you have an SUV with a performance-tuned dual-motor AWD powertrain delivering nearly 500 maximum horsepower and 544 lb.-ft. of maximum torque that we tested on the curvy roads of Santa Barbara.
Kudos to the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles for spearheading both exterior and interior styling, marked by a sleek silhouette, a long wheelbase, and striking high-contrast surfacing. The ZDX epitomizes Acura’s unwavering commitment to performance from every perspective. Noteworthy design elements encompass the evolution of Acura’s signature front fascia, featuring the brand’s iconic Chicane DRLs, Jewel Eye™ LED headlights, and a seamless Diamond Pentagon grille adorned with a 3-D embossed diamond pattern, accentuated by an illuminated surround.

Inside the ZDX, the driver-oriented cockpit boasts high-end materials, premium features, and expansive intuitive technologies, including Acura’s inaugural integration of Google built-in for seamless on-the-go connectivity. Standard across the ZDX lineup are apps like Google Assistant and Google Maps. Additionally, the ZDX Type S introduces Hands-Free Cruise, a driver assistance technology to the Acura lineup, enabling true hands-free driving on up to 400,000 miles of compatible roads, and enhancing comfort during long drives and commutes. Furthermore, the ZDX Type S’ AcuraWatch™ 360+ features the first Automatic Parking Assist system in an Acura, alleviating the stress of parallel parking.
