Toyota has made a stunning comeback with the Land Cruiser in the US, blending style and unyielding strength with luxurious features. According to Toyota group vice president and general manager Dave Christ, “This icon belongs in our lineup.” The 2024 Land Cruiser takes inspiration from its heritage, offering a design that reflects its storied past while retaining the legendary capability and durability it’s renowned for.

Toyota Land Cruiser First Edition 2024
With this reincarnation, Toyota aims to take adventurers on thrilling journeys across the globe, just as it has done for generations. Built on over 70 years of heritage, the Land Cruiser returned to the North American market after a three-year hiatus. Staying true to its roots as a rugged off-roader, the new Land Cruiser now comes with a more accessible starting price, making it a more attractive option for more than just enthusiasts.
Design-wise, the Land Cruiser maintains its iconic elements, such as the round LED headlights and “TOYOTA” heritage grille from its inception in 1958. Meanwhile, other grades get a sleeker appearance with slim, rectangular headlights reminiscent of the FJ62 model. The body profile harkens back to Land Cruisers of old, and the A-pillar is pushed back for improved trail visibility, while the reduced front overhang enhances approach angles.
The 1958 model features black fabric seats and an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Toyota’s latest Audio Multimedia system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Land Cruiser grade steps up with heated and ventilated SofTex-trimmed seats, available in black or Java, along with a 12.3-inch multimedia monitor and an optional 14-speaker JBL premium sound system. To cater to diverse lifestyles, Toyota offers 4G connectivity for up to five devices, effectively turning the Land Cruiser into an AT&T Hotspot. The premium package on the Land Cruiser grade includes leather-trimmed seats, while the exclusive First Edition grade flaunts leather-trimmed seats with a special “First Edition” logo embossed on the door panels.
For enthusiasts, the Land Cruiser is available in three grades: Land Cruiser 1958, Land Cruiser, and the limited First Edition. An optional premium package adds even more features, including power-heated and ventilated leather-trimmed seats with lumbar support, a 14-speaker JBL audio system, a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, and a moonroof.
With seven exterior color options, including two-tone choices, the Land Cruiser ensures there’s a model to suit every taste. The 2024 Land Cruiser not only pays homage to its heritage but also marks a new era of excitement and adventure for Toyota enthusiasts worldwide.
