2025 Lexus NX In Copper Crest
We don’t typically cover a brand’s addition of a new color to its lineup, but when Lexus introduced Copper Crest to its 2025 NX model, we had to take note. Along with the striking new hue, Lexus has enhanced the 2025 NX with thoughtful updates, including two USB Type-C ports in the front console, a wireless charger, and new standard features like Intuitive Parking Assist with Automatic Braking, Auto Rain-Sensing Wipers, and a Power Back Door.
Still, the Copper Crest color truly elevates the NX, giving it an undeniable allure.
We’ve spent time with the Lexus NX (link) in the past and are big fans of its style-forward yet compact design. To best showcase how the new Copper Crest color complements the NX’s sculpted lines, we handed one to a still-life fashion photographer and sent them to the Hamptons to explore and create. The resulting photos, featured here, beautifully capture the essence of great design—inside and out.
Our test model was powered by a 2.4L turbocharged engine paired with an eight-speed transmission, delivering 275 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. This powertrain achieves a 0–60 mph time of 6.6 seconds and an EPA-estimated 24 MPG, making it both efficient and dynamic for a luxury crossover.
For those aiming for baller status in the Copper Crest NX, the 450h+ (AWD) is the way to go. This plug-in hybrid boasts a 37-mile all-electric range, thanks to its high-capacity lithium-ion battery. With an EV output equivalent to a 2.0L engine, it achieves an impressive EPA-estimated combined 84 MPGe. Combined with a hybrid transaxle and a 2.5L inline 4-cylinder engine, the 450h+ delivers luxury-grade performance with an estimated 0–60 mph time of just 6.0 seconds.
In short, the 2025 NX combines sporty sophistication with a low center of gravity, leaving a striking impression from every angle. Its long, sleek front and truncated rear design enhance both agility and dynamic driving performance.
