Porsche add two new fabulous models to its very popular Cayenne lineup, the 2021 Cayenne GTS and Cayenne GTS Coupe, both of which mark the return of a V8 engine to the GTS line up. We spent a bit of time with Cayenne GTS and put it through the paces of daily use. The daily use during this new normal of working at home, running needed errands, and in many cases being both the teacher, parent, and pal to our families. We would normally consider the daily work commute in the 2021 Cayenne GTS, which would be time well spent in this gem, but now our drive-time is when we hit the road on the weekend, or during unplanned mid-day escapes when we take a long way back home just to indulge our driving pleasure.
Being able to stand apart from the competition is a fantastic distinction for this handsome new GTS. The standard Sport Design package includes an exclusive appearance thanks to the bold and graphic black accents. Equipped with standard 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels in satin black, LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), and continuous LED taillights. Continuing the bold design are front air intakes, side window trim, tailpipes of the sports exhaust system, all emboldened by the rear Porsche logo and model designation that are finished in black. To say it simply, this GTS is on fire both inside and out, style matched with ample under the hood substance.
The Porsche developed twin-turbo V8 with 453 hp and a standard eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission will power you from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and the top track speed is 168 mph. Just mentioning should you decide to do some track laps on your way to Target.
Inside it is a world of true “Porsche Luxury,” with Alcantara® on the headliner, seat centers, center console armrests, and doors, and the interior is accented with black brushed aluminum. Standard eight-way sport seats offer optimal support for your favorite curvy road and while doing your best Louis Hamilton dynamic cornering. GTS logos can be found on the front doors, door sills, tachometer, and headrests and each will be a source of great pride in your favorite ride.
Thanks to a lower chassis by 30 mm as compared to the Cayenne S, you get that agile performance that is at the core of what makes the GTS models beyond everything, and be sure to check your pulse after your first drive. Porsche Cayenne GTS.
