Just over a year ago, our automotive team embarked on a groundbreaking journey with the inaugural drive of the DBX. Fast forward to today, and brace yourself for an exhilarating surge of anticipation because the automotive landscape has undergone a riveting metamorphosis, all thanks to the awe-inspiring DBX 707! In an era where SUVs reign supreme, enthusiasts of sports cars have borne witness to a splendid convergence of high-performance sports car dynamics seamlessly blended with the versatile functionality of an SUV, an experience that continues to keep us on the edge of our seats.
Beneath its sleek exterior, a finely tuned 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 resides, meticulously crafted for unadulterated power. The DBX707 boasts a phenomenal engine control unit, turbochargers, and an exhaust and induction system, catapulting us into the fast lane with a thrilling force.
For the inner Formula 1 enthusiast within each of us, the nine-speed wet-clutch transmission guarantees lightning-fast gear shifts, leaving traditional sports cars trailing in your wake.
To harness the sheer power at your fingertips, carbon ceramic brakes come standard, allowing you to choose between 22- or 23-inch wheels enveloped in Pirelli tires. The symphony of speed, however, doesn’t conclude there – the quad exhaust system features an active sound system with two settings. Press the start button, and you’re greeted with a spine-tingling soundtrack. Craving to make a statement? Simultaneously hit the start button and pull a shift paddle to elevate the volume and awaken the neighborhood.
Yet, it’s not just about raw power – the DBX707 possesses intelligence as well. Meticulous refinement has been applied to the chassis, enhancing the power steering system and incorporating 48-volt active roll bars. Suspension tweaks minimize body roll while ensuring a comfortable ride, even when navigating winding roads.
Externally, the DBX707 commands attention with its imposing grille, new air intakes, and brake cooling ducts, all elegantly finished in glossy black or carbon fiber. At the rear, a larger spoiler and striking rear quarter vents further enhance its presence, while the quad exhausts provide a final, resounding touch.
Step into the cabin, and you’ll encounter newly designed sports seats and a reimagined center console. While there’s no touchscreen, a Mercedes-derived knob/touchpad takes its place, albeit not the latest system. Adapting to it might require a brief adjustment, but once you unleash the formidable power of the DBX707, any learning curve becomes insignificant.
In conclusion, our affection for the standard DBX remains, but now, with the introduction of the DBX707, Aston Martin has sculpted the ultimate SUV for those yearning for the adrenaline rush of a sports car coupled with the practicality of an SUV. Fasten your seatbelt, as this is a journey you won’t want to overlook!
