The wait is over as we spent some time with the new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman in Greenville, SC and the photos on this page show the bold and sporty look that reflects its performance and versatility.
Take a closer look at this model, paying attention to its distinctive features. Notice the vertical reflectors positioned on the front of the Mini, purposefully highlighting its broad stance. The Mini also boasts new LED headlights, specifically designed for the JCW Signature Mode, featuring horizontal bars that contribute to its more expressive appearance. The front end further stands out with a fresh octagonal grille design in high-gloss black, complemented by the newly crafted three-color JCW logo.
One of the many features that stand out is the newly designed C-pillar which seamlessly joins the contrasting roof (shown on this page in motorsport-inspired Chili Red). The roof curves down towards the rear, giving the MINI JCW Countryman an agile silhouette despite its increased height and width.
Inside it is all about the minimalism-inspired simplified design with a cockpit divided into an upper and lower section, with vertical door handles and air vents in the upper area. Add in the engineered functionality and you have an immersive driving experience.
Who would have thought toggle switches? On the MINI toggle bar just below the OLED round screen, toggle switches control important driving functions in addition to select controls on the steering wheel. The central, high-resolution OLED display is home to all other functions.
Now, we’re eagerly anticipating the opportunity to engage the go-kart mode. Mini assures that this mode delivers a sporty driving experience, and the occupants can expect to hear the engine sound resonating with remarkable intensity within the cabin.
With its 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman embodies this unmistakable mini-driving experience with all kinds of space, comfort, and safety. Thanks to its ALL4 all-wheel drive system, this new MINI is also very capable off the road.
The first units are not expected to arrive at dealers until early May 2024 but something tells us it will be so worth the wait.
