Jaguar excels in sports cars and sports sedans and it was noteworthy when they entered the compact-SUV segment with the stately, sporty and energetic F-Pace. With the off-road capable F-Pace, Jaguar introduced a perfect city and country vehicle. It was just over a year ago that I first saw a Jaguar F-Pace in the wild, at Martha Stewart’s Spring Party in the Hamptons, and since then the F-Pace has become a massive success. It was Spring 2016 just outside Aspen Colorado when I first had the opportunity to get a detailed look at this new Jaguar and test drive what maybe the most fabulous SUV on the market today
Designed by the legendary auto designer Ian Callum and his team the F-Pace is graced with a distinct line that combines and integrates with the streamlined elegance of the Jaguar family of vehicles.
The F-Pace was designed and created to accommodate consumer inquiries. When in the market for a small crossover the choices were limited to offerings by Range Rover and German and Japanese automakers. Loyal Jaguar owners and a high level of conquest consumers have fallen for the F-Pace. With is perfect blend of style, speed, safety features, comfortable luxury and technology the F-Pace is complete with an elegant practicality. Designed with the newly familiar features like the well-established rotary dial for gear selection and the placement of the buttons and switchgears, the F-Pace feels more like a sport sedan then most. For 2018 Jaguar added a gasoline four-cylinder turbo as its base engine. We were very impressed with the handsome and fine Portfolio Trim level appointments and two new driver-assistance features that are options with purchase. A high number of updates by Jaguar to the 2018 F-Pace have made the crossover an even better value and the Jaguar F-Pace is now setting standard for the competition to meet.
