2024 GMC Acadia Denali

Our First Look

GMC has recently introduced the all-new Acadia, a premium mid-size SUV bound to turn heads in the style world. For GMC, this marks a significant milestone in the brand’s SUV and crossover lineup, poised to attract a fresh wave of customers. In 2024, the Acadia boasts increased dimensions – it’s longer, wider, and taller in comparison to its forerunner. It comes with a brand-new, upscale interior, a refined exterior design, an augmented array of cutting-edge technology, and an extensive roster of standard safety features.

“For this next generation, our mission was to reimagine the design and the proportions of the Acadia to create a bolder, more commanding presence, firmly in the vein of the evolving GMC portfolio,” said Ben Zavala, design lead, GMC Acadia. “With its assertive, powerful stance, the 2024 Acadia evokes a truck-inspired persona, infused with the brand’s signature premium feel.”

With its increased size, the Acadia offers enhanced passenger spaciousness and a versatile seating arrangement accommodating seven or eight passengers, depending on the trim level

With its increased size, the Acadia offers enhanced passenger spaciousness and a versatile seating arrangement accommodating seven or eight passengers, depending on the trim level. Additionally, there’s nearly 80 percent more cargo space behind the third row and over 36 percent more behind the second row compared to the current generation.
Under the hood, all trims of the Acadia are equipped with a new 2.5L turbocharged engine that provides greater power and enhanced trailering capacity compared to the previous generation. Generating an impressive 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque, this new engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission across all trims featuring available all-wheel drive. Notably, the redesigned Acadia AT4 boasts an exclusive off-road-capable Active Torque Control AWD system, elevating off-road capability to new heights for this nameplate.

The standout model in the Arcadia lineup is undeniably the Acadia Denali, exuding an adventure-chic ambiance and boasting a heightened design, along with an even more opulent array of features that could rival the finest offerings from Germany and Japan. This premium variant showcases distinctive exterior trim and design elements, including unique accents, a signature Denali grille, and the option for all-new, colossal 22-inch machined aluminum wheels – the largest ever offered on an Acadia.

Inside, you’ll find a fresh interior design featuring an expansive panoramic sunroof that stretches from pillar to pillar, complemented by authentic laser-etched wood embellishments adorned with Galvano chrome accents. The front seats are appointed with perforated leather and equipped with both heating and ventilation, while the available second-row outboard seats also offer heating functionality. This attention to detail elevates the Acadia Denali to an unparalleled level of luxury and comfort.

This release introduces the Super Cruise, a significant milestone for GMC the industry’s pioneer in true hands-free advanced driver assistance systems, to a wider range of GMC trims. This groundbreaking technology will now be accessible on GMC models such as Elevation Premium and AT4, in addition to the Denali. Furthermore, the Acadia will be equipped with the latest iteration of GM’s Super Cruise, featuring added functionalities like trailering assist and automatic lane-change capabilities. This represents a noteworthy advancement in driver-assist technologies for the Acadia lineup.
