Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix Sir Russell Coutts takes the stage
We joined a few hundred on NYC’s best to celebrate the countdown to New York City’s summer event, the Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix. This preview event took place at the fabulous Hall des Lumières in Tribeca, where we were treated to an immersive experience of the global racing championship. League CEO Sir Russell Coutts exclusively revealed that SailGP would return to the city in Season 5.
We were treated to a mind-blowing immersive 360-degree view of the most exciting racing on water, think F1 on the seas, and thanks to a range of audiovisual content all of us felt like we were part of the action.
SailGP will bring 10 international teams to the waters to race turbocharged F50 catamarans at more than 60 miles per hour. Fans can watch the action in stadium-style seats near shore along Governors Island. The Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix runs from June 22nd to 23rd.
