The New Navigator

The world of luxury is ever-changing, with the rise of streetwear in fashion to the rebirth of the luxury resort, and in the auto world bolder is better and the true luxury experience now starts at purchase. We traveled to AZ to the new Sanderson Lincoln Boutique located at the Scottsdale Quarter, and this boutique offers an elevated experience in shopping.

Lincoln Navigator has always been unmistakable in its presence thanks to that bigger-than-life elegant design and with this new Navigator, Lincoln is elevating luxury with the introduction of more effortless technologies.

Proof That Bolder Is Better

Impeccable Craftsmanship

“The confident, new look of Navigator and the introduction of advanced features such as Lincoln ActiveGlide – our hands-free driver-assist technology – are great examples of how we elevate our sanctuary experience and keep our vehicles fresh,” said Joy Falotico, president, Lincoln. “The new Navigator will continue to play a critical role in differentiating our brand and will welcome even more new clients to Lincoln.”

One of the fabulous new technological advancements you will find on the Navigator is ActiveGlide and this is the first Lincoln vehicle to offer it. The Lincoln ActiveGlide is an evolution of Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane Centering, and Speed Sign Recognition. Lincoln ActiveGlide* adds a new level of convenience for drivers. Signature blue light cues appear on the digital cluster and head-up display to indicate when the system’s advanced camera and radar are activated, enabling drivers to operate Navigator hands-free on prequalified sections of divided highways. Hands-Free Blue Zones include more than 130,000 miles of dedicated highways across the US in the Lincoln GPS mapping system. A driver-facing camera in the instrument cluster monitors eye gaze and head position to help ensure a driver’s eyes stay on the road.

Outside the new Navigator has an updated signature grille and new front end, giving a more dynamic presence on the road. Standard adaptive pixel projector headlamps debut with a new look that accentuates the fascia and imparts a modern aesthetic to the SUV. New 3D tail lamps fade from the center out upon welcome and out to center upon farewell, creating a depth that gives the LED lights a more dynamic look and enhances the overall welcome of Lincoln Embrace, providing balance and a commanding stance.

“Elevating a vehicle as successful as Navigator is no small feat, and our team accomplished this with pride – turning heads and pulling our clients into the sophisticated, sleek design both inside and out,” said Kemal Curic, design director, Lincoln. “Building on what we already know and further refining our strengths, we explored more ways for clients to enjoy the sanctuary of their vehicle, using it as a space for personal relaxation and wellness – from home, to work and to stationary moments.”

New Navigator means new Black Label themes, Central Park and Invitation, they both take craftsmanship to a new level. Central Park with rich contrasts that strike the perfect balance between the lavish organic oasis and the surrounding skyscrapers and the Invitation Black Label theme provides a sense of intrigue, with the quality of a crafted black paper invitation with handwritten calligraphy that welcomes you to an exquisite home for an intimate evening of celebration.

The new themes, Central Park and Invitation, join Navigator’s Chalet and Yacht Club. Chalet is designed to evoke the contrasting pleasures of pulse-raising mountain slopes and the warm comfort of an après-ski lodge. Yacht Club was inspired by fine watercraft, pairing cool, coastal-blue leather with whitewashed teak and luxury with leisure.

“We continue to evolve the Black Label themes based on luxury trends and the changing environment, and ultimately draw inspiration from our Lincoln clients,” said Marcia Salzberg, Lincoln senior color and materials designer.

From a more elegant design refinements elevate the Lincoln sanctuary and new signature features including segment-first second-row massage seats and new exclusive Black Label themes create the serene experience. Navigator clients expect refined luxury from the brand and proof of such is embodied in all 3 rows of luxury in this navigator.
