The worst-kept secret in the supercar world finally came to light at Monterey Car Week. At The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, Lamborghini unveiled the Revuelto SV, the fifth V12 to wear the legendary Super Veloce name.

Lamborghini Turns Up The Volume

V12, Electrified

The Quantum of Driving

Super Veloce means “super fast,” and Lamborghini has taken that idea very seriously. The Revuelto SV pairs its naturally aspirated V12 with three electric motors and a new high-performance battery, producing 50 CV more than the standard Revuelto. It reaches 62 mph in just 2.4 seconds and pushes beyond 214 mph. More importantly, revised aerodynamics and increased downforce give the SV greater precision and responsiveness when the road—or track—gets interesting.

The lineage is extraordinary. The Miura SV established the formula in 1971, followed by the Diablo SV, Murciélago LP 670-4 Super Veloce and Aventador SV. Now the Revuelto SV carries that tradition into Lamborghini’s hybrid V12 era.

Limited to 1,963 examples, a nod to the year Lamborghini was founded, the Revuelto SV is as much a collector’s object as it is a technological statement. It is the latest—and perhaps most dramatic—expression of Lamborghini’s belief that electrification doesn’t have to mean the end of emotion.

At Monterey, it looked perfectly at home.

Let’s Build One.
