Villa Premiere offers an ambiance that defies simple description. With ultra-chic décor and an intimate, adults-only setting, the resort feels like a serene escape tailored to the senses. The modern Mexican design has a soulful warmth—think airy spaces, soft lighting, and textures that invite you to stay a little longer. Whether lounging by the immaculate infinity pool or indulging in elevated cuisine, every moment is infused with a sense of calm luxury.
After a seamless check-in (yes, they greet you with a welcome drink and a mini neck massage), I was delighted by the thoughtful details that set Villa Premiere apart, like the pillow menu and in-room aromatherapy selection. My suite welcomed me with clean-lined contemporary Mexican décor, light woods, artisanal accents, and a spacious open kitchenette. The view was breathtaking: sweeping vistas of the Bay of Banderas, the sparkling pool below, and Puerto Vallarta’s charming coastline just beyond.
The hotel’s prime location—less than a mile from the historic Malecon boardwalk and the lively Zona Romántica—makes it easy to explore on foot. Coming from New York City, I appreciated being able to stroll the oceanfront boulevard into the old town, discovering art galleries, local cafes, and music-filled plazas along the way.
With only 80 rooms and suites, Villa Premiere cultivates a personalized, boutique experience. The staff is warm and intuitive—quick to remember your name, but never intrusive. Whether you’re dining solo, socializing poolside, or simply unwinding with a cocktail, the resort’s atmosphere allows you to move at your own rhythm.
Lunch at the open-air La Ceiba was fresh and flavorful—ceviches, grilled fish tacos, and seasonal salads are house favorites. Afterward, I floated in the edgeless swim-up pool, where I met several loyal returning guests who praised the resort’s consistency and understated luxury. Later, I claimed a shaded cabana on the beach for some quiet time with my book before dressing for dinner.
Evenings at Villa Premiere have a special glow. At the sophisticated La Corona, Executive Chef Elías Sapien brings inventive refinement to each dish, melding local ingredients with international inspiration. Service is crisp and discreet. The ambiance at Murales, the resort’s other fine dining option specializing in traditional Mexican cuisine, is intimate and deeply romantic, framed by hand-painted murals and candlelight.
Every morning began with a gourmet breakfast on the terrace—fresh-baked pastries, locally sourced fruit, blended juices, and a strong cup of coffee while the sun rose over the Sierra Madre Mountains. It’s the kind of moment that lingers long after your return home.
