Even with a burst of truly unpredictable Miami weather, ModaMiami 2026 still delivered everything one expects from a gathering that has quickly become one of the most stylish automotive events in the world.
Set across the lush grounds surrounding the historic The Biltmore Hotel, ModaMiami once again transformed the landscape into an immersive showcase of automobiles, luxury lifestyle, and culture. Often described as the “Art Basel of car events,” the gathering continues to redefine what a modern concours can be—less traditional car show, more cultural moment.
Despite some dramatic rain that swept through Coral Gables late on Sunday morning, the event remained impressive from start to finish. Across the manicured greens sat some of the rarest and most beautiful automobiles in the world, each drawing a steady circle of admirers throughout the day.
From the unmistakable presence of a James Bond–era Aston Martin DB5 to the radical modern engineering of the Czinger 21C, the range of cars on display was remarkable. Classic craftsmanship shared space with the latest thinking in performance and design, creating a showfield that felt both historic and forward-looking.
Cars from Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, and Lamborghini could be found throughout the field, each representing a different interpretation of modern automotive performance. What made the lawn especially compelling, however, was the variety. Vintage Rolls-Royce motorcars and G-body Porsche 911s sat comfortably beside the muscular presence of the legendary Buick GNX, a reminder that great cars come from many different places and moments in time.
The weekend also coincided with a successful two-day sale from RM Sotheby’s, further reinforcing ModaMiami’s growing importance in the collector-car calendar.
Awards were presented across three concours categories. The Post-War title went to the stunning Ferrari 275 GTS/4 NART Spider, while the Modern category was claimed by the iconic McLaren F1. The Classic award went to the elegant Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Lungo Spider.
Shortly before noon on Sunday, a sudden thunderstorm rolled across Coral Gables, bringing heavy rain and strong winds that flooded portions of the golf-course showfield adjacent to the Biltmore. Images quickly circulated online showing million-dollar cars surrounded by standing water. Fortunately, early reports indicated no significant damage to vehicles, although the storm forced organisers to curtail the closing stages of the programme and navigate some muddy logistics.
Still, the bigger story remains clear. ModaMiami reflects a broader shift in the luxury car world—one that blends automobiles with fashion, design, travel, and culture. With a younger and increasingly diverse audience arriving each year, the event has quickly become a must-attend gathering for collectors, enthusiasts, and global brands alike.
Rainstorm or not, ModaMiami looks firmly established.
And after this year’s weather drama, expect a few clever improvements when the event returns in 2027.
