Hyundai Palisade XRT PRO

This Is How Hyundai Does Adventure Chic

Should the folks over at Range Rover be worried about Hyundai’s first-ever Palisade XRT PRO? Probably not just yet—but we’re willing to bet a few Land Rover executives are casting curious glances in Hyundai’s direction, and they should. With the debut of the 2026 Palisade lineup, Hyundai has made it clear that it’s no longer content to keep up. The all-new Palisade XRT PRO goes boldly into the territory of go-anywhere, do-everything SUVs—even if your version of rugged is more about Trader Joe’s hauls and less about rock-crawling in Moab.

This bold and refined three-row SUV stands tall—literally and figuratively—with upgraded ground clearance, a rear electronic limited-slip differential, standard all-terrain tires, Hyundai’s HTRAC® all-wheel drive system, and a built-in tow hitch. Whether it’s navigating snow-covered trails or a jam-packed soccer schedule, the XRT PRO is built to flex. It carries the capability and confidence of an off-road machine with the comfort, space, and style that modern families and adventurers demand.

“The 2026 Palisade XRT PRO is for people doing it all—raising families, chasing goals, showing up every day,” said Olabisi Boyle, SVP of Product Planning and Mobility Strategy at Hyundai Motor North America. “We built this SUV by putting people first—thinking about real lives, real needs. It’s got space for your crew, capability when the road gets rough, and the kind of comfort, style, and efficiency that proves luxury doesn’t have to come with a luxury price. We wanted to deliver a vehicle where affordability can meet lifestyle—no matter where off-road you want to go.”

The XRT PRO - Adventure Gets a Stylish Upgrade

Off-Road Capability Meets Everyday Luxury

The XRT PRO nameplate makes its debut on this model, and it’s more than just a badge—it’s a serious statement. Designed specifically with U.S. drivers in mind, the XRT PRO is the most off-road capable Hyundai SUV ever made. From the outside, its intent is unmistakable: a muscular new front fascia frames a bold lower grille and canyon red functional recovery hooks, while a beefed-up lower bumper hints at the upgraded geometry beneath. It’s ready for the elements and dressed for the part.

And what can it actually do? Plenty. With 8.4 inches of ground clearance—an extra inch over other Palisade trims—the XRT PRO improves on approach (20.5°), departure (22.4°), and breakover angles (18.3°), making it far more trail-friendly. Hyundai equips it with off-road specific 255/60R18 all-terrain tires and exclusive rear electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD) for improved traction over uneven or slippery terrain. New terrain modes for Mud, Sand, and Snow keep the ride intuitive and adaptable, while Downhill Brake Control adds confidence on steep descents. When the journey calls for gear in tow—whether it’s a camper, boat, or bikes—the Palisade XRT PRO comes with a factory-installed tow hitch and tow mode.

Tech features match the muscle. A Blind Spot View Monitor and Surround View Monitor with forward ground view help make tight turns and parking feel effortless, even when loaded with gear. For the more adventurous driver, real-time pitch and roll displays, compass, and elevation readouts keep the driving experience connected to the terrain. This is adventure made smarter—and safer.

Hyundai’s Boldest SUV Yet

#PalisadeXRTPRO

Under the hood, the Palisade XRT PRO features a newly developed 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 engine, delivering an estimated 287 horsepower and up to 260 lb.-ft. of torque. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a multi-plate torque converter, this powertrain is both smooth and responsive. And with HTRAC® All-Wheel Drive standard on the XRT PRO, it’s engineered to transfer torque where it’s needed most, in real-time, regardless of conditions.

Inside, the XRT PRO is a study in rugged refinement. A new level of finish is introduced with H-Tex leatherette seating surfaces—heated and ventilated up front—paired with a heated steering wheel for added comfort. XRT PRO-exclusive 18-inch dark-finish alloy wheels, dark exterior accents, and signature rear badging round out the model’s distinctive visual identity. A Bose® 14-speaker premium audio system fills the cabin with rich, immersive sound, while ambient lighting and a power moonroof elevate everyday drives. Thoughtful touches like a 115-volt outlet add real utility to the already versatile cabin.

The Hyundai Palisade XRT PRO represents a significant move for the brand—one that blends capability, design, and tech into a ruggedly luxurious offering without the typical luxury price tag. Whether your idea of adventure is a snow-dusted trail or navigating the school pickup line with style, this SUV is ready to meet you where you are—and take you farther.
