From The Hamptons

The Bridge IX

It’s no secret we’re massive fans of the Hamptons. Every September, once the last beach towels are packed away and summer visitors head back to the city, you might think the season is over. But for those in the know, summer doesn’t truly end until after The Bridge.

This year’s event, presented by Mercedes-Maybach, gathered more than 300 of the world’s most remarkable cars on the storied grounds of the former Bridgehampton Race Circuit.

Mercedes-Maybach made a glamorous debut as presenting sponsor, with the anticipated SL Roadster stealing plenty of attention. Volvo celebrated its 70th anniversary with a heritage showcase, while BMW unveiled the East Coast debut of Art Car No. 20, a bold work by Julie Mehretu. The lineup was as eclectic as it was enviable—Ferrari and Koenigsegg stood alongside Luminari, Gunther Werks, and even Royal Enfield, ensuring that every corner of the lawn offered something to ogle.

A Fitting Finale

As expected, the guest list was as dazzling as the automobiles. Celebrities, collectors, and tastemakers mingled among the rare metal. Between sightings of well-heeled regulars and a few surprise boldface names, the crowd itself could have been a runway show—though here the accessories came in the form of gullwing doors and vintage racing stripes. One particularly talked-about moment was the unveiling of a one-off Ferrari alongside a modern Koenigsegg, a pairing that drew as many smartphone cameras as the celebrities themselves.

The weekend wrapped with The Bridge at Topping Rose House, where classic automobiles were paired with seasonal cuisine from Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Guests enjoyed not only the food but also a refined showcase from presenting sponsor Chopard—proof that The Bridge is as much about lifestyle as it is horsepower.

For the Hamptons faithful, The Bridge IX confirmed what we’ve always known: summer doesn’t end with Labor Day; it ends with the roar of engines, a glass of champagne, and a lawn full of cars that most of us will only ever dream about driving. The Bridge.
