The Talk Of The Town

We travel to the resort town of Delray Beach, Florida for a bit of chic no-roof motoring in our yellow tang Aston Martin Vantage Roadster, leaving behind the high functionality Aston Martin DBX to negotiate the snowy roadways. More than just a looker, the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster is a 503-horsepower of pure driving pleasure with an eye-catching design. With the new Opal Grand Oceanfront Resort & Spa on Delray Beach as our base, we put this new Aston in real-world conditions meeting the demands, and then some, of Aston Martin owners.

In Delray Beach

We put the car through rigorous pacing that included getting to the beach at sunrise and later cruising on famed Atlantic Avenue in search of Spicy Octopus at Lionfish or a perfect bowl of mussels at 50 Ocean. Needless to say the yellow tang Aston soon became the talk of the town and upped our game substantially.

Joining the Vantage Coupe that we drove in 2018, this convertible model brings out an emotional appeal of potent performance and outstanding dynamics that fit into everyday usability. A daily no-roof drive of the Vantage, whether along the edge of the Atlantic Ocean or on highways is the perfect prescription for excitement and a fine replacement for a daily commute lost to those working from home. This twin-turbo-powered Vantage Roadster accelerates from 0-60mph in just 3.7sec and is capable of 190mph with the roof raised.

With alacrity, the roof can be lowered or raised in under 7 seconds which is perfect for showing off at busy intersections and great for protection from fast-moving Florida rainstorms. The distinct grill and the pronounced upswept rear decklid are designed with performance-enhancing aerodynamic at the forefront. The gills which are integrated into the body surface bleed air pressure out from the front wheel arches. , The front splitter directs airflow underneath the car while channeling cooling air where it is needed as well as insures the rear diffuser is fed with clean airflow to create an area of low-pressure air, while simultaneously preventing turbulence generated by the rear wheels from disrupting the flow of air exiting centrally from beneath the rear of the car.

Inside is a fabulous dynamic and focused sports car cockpit with sharp focused lines denoting the more aggressive nature of the car while creating a more immersive driving experience.

From carbon fiber details and exterior statement-making design, the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster will not only impress its owner it will also overwhelm the visual and auditory senses of casual onlookers. Each of its three driving modes Sport, Sport +, or Track – echos with attention-grabbing reverberations that are distinct and pure Aston Martin.
