Our road trip through the Yucatan left us in awe after exploring the ancient Mayan sites. Each road we traveled led to new adventures, from micro-villages to biodiverse nature preserves, under an endless blue sky. While we enjoyed the attractions along the way, we yearned for a moment of luxury and calm. The Seahorse Hotel in Telchac provided just that.
As dusk fell, palm tree shadows filled the compound with a cooling shade. Welcomed into the airy palapa reception area, we were greeted with kindness. The modern whitewashed building, pool, sandy beach, hammocks, and shaded lounge chairs beckoned us.
The modern rooms surprised us with their blend of traditional Yucatan crafts and modern simplicity. With only 12 rooms, the Seahorse fostered a sense of camaraderie among guests. Cocktails by the poolside open-air restaurant preceded a delicious dinner, sparking anticipation for breakfast.
