Jacquemus Spring/Summer 2027

Joy in Simplicity

Our journey to Corsica led us to one of the most breathtaking runways of the season. Jacquemus Spring/Summer 2027, “Le Bonheur,” unfolded on the dramatic rocky peninsula of Île-Rousse, where a narrow, windswept path climbs toward the historic Phare de la Pietra lighthouse. Bathed in brilliant Mediterranean sunlight, with rust-colored stone meeting impossibly blue sea, the setting felt less like a fashion show and more like a cinematic pilgrimage. It was the perfect stage for Simon Porte Jacquemus, whose latest collection distilled the house’s unmistakable language into its purest expression. Menswear and womenswear embraced an effortless sophistication through softened tailoring, fluid proportions and natural fabrics that moved with ease, celebrating a vision of modern luxury rooted in simplicity, confidence and the joy of dressing well.

For women, sculptural dresses skimmed the silhouette in crisp cottons, airy linens and silk blends, while elongated skirts, abbreviated jackets and beautifully draped separates balanced sensuality with restraint. Menswear echoed the same philosophy through relaxed suiting, generously cut trousers, refined shirting and lightweight outerwear that blurred the line between formal and casual dressing. Throughout the collection, earthy neutrals, warm creams, faded blacks, and sun-washed hues replaced bold statements with quiet confidence.

When Landscape Becomes the Runway

The Mediterranean as Muse

The collection continued Jacquemus’ ongoing influence on contemporary fashion, pushing the movement toward softer tailoring, effortless monochrome dressing, natural textures and elevated everyday essentials. Rather than introducing fleeting trends, “Le Bonheur” reinforced the growing desire for clothing that feels timeless, functional, and emotionally connected to the way people actually live.

As compelling as the clothes were, the setting elevated the entire presentation into something unforgettable. Staged outdoors beneath brilliant Mediterranean sunlight, the collection unfolded against a dramatic landscape of ochre earth, rolling hills and endless sky. The warm light intensified every texture and silhouette, allowing the garments to become part of the landscape itself. Models appeared to emerge naturally from the terrain, creating an almost cinematic dialogue between fashion and nature.

The spectacular location once again demonstrated Simon Porte Jacquemus’ instinct for transforming a runway into an experience. The surrounding landscape wasn’t simply a backdrop—it became an essential part of the collection’s narrative, reinforcing themes of optimism, simplicity and the enduring beauty of the natural world. Few designers understand the emotional power of place quite like Jacquemus, and “Le Bonheur” proved that sometimes the strongest fashion statement comes from allowing exceptional design and extraordinary scenery to speak together.
