Our First Look

Note to Munich and Stuttgart: the all-new Audi RS 5 Sedan arrives with intent.

This high-performance plug-in hybrid produces 639 horsepower, launches from 0–62 mph in approximately 3.6 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 177 mph when equipped with the optional Audi Sport package. It is Audi Sport’s first electrified RS model—and it changes the conversation.

Developed by Audi Sport, the new RS 5 introduces a newly engineered quattro drivetrain with Dynamic Torque Control—described as the world’s first electro-mechanical torque vectoring system in a production car. The interplay between combustion engine and electric motor creates a seamless blend of peak performance and daily usability.

Loving The Wide-Body Design And Sexy Performance

“The A5 model series’ new pinnacle is our first high-performance plug-in hybrid,” says Gernot Döllner. “Customers can experience both peak sportiness and everyday comfort.”

Rolf Michl, Managing Director of Audi Sport, calls it “a new interpretation of the true RS experience.”

Visually, the RS 5 Sedan embraces an assertive wide-body stance with redesigned front and rear bumpers and available two-tone diamond-cut phantom black 21-inch wheels with matte accents. The optional Audi Sport package amplifies the drama with RS ceramic brakes featuring bronze-colored calipers, carbon camouflage elements, and the unmistakable RS sport exhaust.

Inside, contrast stitching in Serpentine Green and brass appears for the first time, underscoring the performance-forward aesthetic. The 14.5-inch MMI touch display now features an enhanced Audi driving experience function, allowing drivers to analyze route data, store sector times, and even monitor drift angles when using RS torque rear mode.

The Audi RS 5 Avant also joins the lineup—though it is not currently slated for the U.S. market.

Electrified. Aggressive. Intelligent.

Performance, now with range.
