A standout that you will notice when a bit of rain comes out of nowhere is the closing of the top takes only about 15 seconds and is possible up to a speed of 37 mph, also the same time when putting the top down. Another highlight we love is that the top can be operated not only by using the switch panel in the center console but also with the multimedia touchscreen, on which an animation shows how the process is progressing.

Our SL 63 with a 577 hp power plant provided a maximum torque of 590 lb-ft over a wide rev range from 2,500 to 4,500 rpm. Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph took about 3.4 seconds on the highway.
