Proof That Bolder Is Better

Everything you thought you knew about Hummer has dramatically changed with the onset of impressive innovations. Let us start with a bold design powered by three electrified engines giving it 1,000 horsepower and unprecedented performance capability. The Hummer of today is a fresh take on the Hummer of yesterday, designed for a new Hummer owner that wants to go anywhere on the road less traveled. The new Hummer customer gets an electrified elevated off-road experience and style throughout. They demand the comforts of a full-size SUV. The new Hummer seamlessly delivers all of that and more, with the icing on top being that this sexy beast is electric.

Our Hummer EV test car came with the Edition 1 trim, featuring a white exterior color, a unique contrast Lunar Horizon interior color, and Special Edition 1 interior badging as well as that fantastic Extreme Off-Road Package, which adds Adaptive Air Suspension with available Extract Mode6 capability, 4 Wheel Steer with CrabWalk, 35-inch-OD Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, underbody armor, rock sliders and much more.

The GMC HUMMER EV Edition 1 is the first with GM’s all-new Ultium battery architecture that gave us a very impressive on and off-road experience with fabulous dynamics and performance that was so unexpected for something so large “As the first of GM’s next-gen EVs, the HUMMER EV will fundamentally alter conventional off-road and truck paradigms,” said Ken Morris, GM vice president, Autonomous and Electric Vehicle Programs. “It will also debut new technology, including our all-new Ultium batteries, Ultium Drive units, and the industry’s first wireless battery management system.”

Bold In Design

Bold In Off-Road Luxury

Exlierating open-air driving comes alive thanks to the removable transparent Sky Panels that can stow in the ‘frunk’ storage compartment at the front of the vehicle. Inside our HUMMER EV Edition 1, the details reveal the luxury of a full-size SUV and complete with the large 13.4-inch easy-to-use diagonal infotainment screen. In addition, the 12.3-inch diagonal driver information center display conveys a wealth of vehicle performance and driver awareness information. To make this hummer road trip ready there is a power rear drop glass window and power tonneau cover onboard and ready to be utilized and the MultiPro Tailgate offers six functional positions.

Bold design cues featuring carefully executed and clever details such as the distinctive “H” motif seen in several elements to remind you you are driving something special. The new CrabWalk is a feature that allows the rear wheels and front wheels to steer at the same angle at low speeds and the Hummer EV’s ability to negotiate extreme off-road situations such as clearing boulders or fording water sets a new standard on what an off-road truck can achieve. This Hummer style statement is bold, be it off-road or on the highways, the quiet cabin is luxurious, and having the ability to travel without the roof panels beckons the road ahead.
