It was back in 1995 that Chevy Tahoe first hit roads as a purpose-built do-anything family SUV, with the versatility to tow a trailer, off-road, and take the family on a road trip. Over the years the definition of family may have morphed, all the while the Tahoe’s functionality has been greatly expanded.
“The Tahoe delivered the perfect blend of capability, cargo space and comfort just as the four-door, full-size SUV market ignited in the United States,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet marketing. “The Tahoe is a wildly successful and enduring favorite with customers and has helped chevy lead the full-size SUV segment since its introduction.”
To best understand Chevrolet’s all-new 2021 Tahoe and Suburban we wanted to spend time with it in its natural habitat. Both the new Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban are very at home running the city streets but where they both shine is on that road trip to the country for a long weekend of chilling out.
We wanted to show off all a Tahoe can be when we selected the High Country trim that is new for both Tahoe and Suburban. This top-level model is designed for the person that knows luxury and is used to having it in every part of their life from their homes, cars, travel, and leisure time. Our High Country was filled with all kinds of premium features from the unique grille with bronze accents and High Country badging to 22-inch wheels with chrome inserts that announce something big, bad and fabulous is on the road. Inside you will find low-key-chic from High Country including sill plates, seat embroidery, and color and trim choices to make your HC uniquely yours. With a no joke massive 6.2L V-8 engine with Magnetic Ride Control the get-up and go factor pulling onto a highway is beyond stellar and from behind the wheel, you experience great comforts thanks to Head-Up Display, HD Surround Vision and the Rear Camera Mirror.
With the introduction of the all-new 2021 Tahoe and Suburban, Chevy redesigned them both to be ultimate SUV while offering the most interior space of any SUVs, exclusive technologies and features, and the best driving dynamics in the full-size segment thanks to new architecture featuring an independent rear suspension.
Now when a group of city friends wants to change the High Country becomes the “city-escape” ride not just for your crew but with all kinds of room for your crew’s stuff.
“With an increasing number of SUVs on the market, we knew the all-new Tahoe and Suburban needed to reach higher than ever,” said Tim Herrick, vice president, global product programs. “We transformed Tahoe and Suburban to offer all-new technologies and features and deliver a better driving experience while staying true to the versatility and capability that have earned people’s trust for generations.”
