This fantastic footwear brand is following a slow fashion approach with a focus on plant-based circularity production and adherence to philosophies deeply rooted in youth and counterculture.
Based in Paris, all materials that they use in production are vegan and PETA certified which shows just what good you can do when new ideas and sustainability go hand in hand.
Their apple leather comes from apple residue from the food industry, in a process whereby the skin is collected, dried, powdered, and sent to a factory where it is mixed with Polyurethane (PU), to obtain a firm, smooth texture.
They also use corn leather, which originates from the food industry as well. Residue from corn is liquified into a form of wax, 60% of which is then applied to 40% polyester.
