Porsche Design NYC Night Ferdi Porsche, & Orlando Bloom
NYC’s Soho district came alive mid-week for a fantastic Porsche Design event hosted by Orlando Bloom and Ferdi Porsche. It was a fab evening at Watches of Switzerland as we checked out Porsche Design’s newest timepiece: the Chronograph 1 – 1975 Limited Edition in titanium, a tribute to the first uncoated stainless-steel Chronograph 1 launched exactly 50 years ago, in 1975.
We joined style aficionados at Watches of Switzerland’s SoHo flagship for an evening that spotlighted Porsche Design in New York, with a dynamic visual representation of the brand’s rich heritage and a focus on the new limited-edition timepiece.
In addition to the watch launch, we celebrated Porsche Design’s new brand ambassador, Orlando Bloom, and marked the beginning of an exclusive retail partnership with the Watches of Switzerland Group in the U.S.
Before the highlight of the evening—the unveiling of the Chronograph 1 – 1975 by Orlando Bloom and Ferdi Porsche, nephew of Porsche Design founder F. A. Porsche—we enjoyed a panel conversation with Ferdi and Orlando, who spoke about their shared passion for Porsche and mechanical wristwatches.
