2017 Infiniti QX30 shot on location at the Chateau Schafer, located along the Hood Canal shoreline, in Union, Washington.
We are big fans of the crossover vehicle and the 2017 QX30 from Infiniti is a brilliant addition to this somewhat market segment. The manufacturer states “Infiniti’s newest crossover vehicle, the 2017 QX30, shares a platform with the Mercedes-Benz GLA” and they are countering the fine competition with excellence in design, performance and technological innovations. We have been waiting to see this from Infiniti and their engineers and designers have demonstrated a keen adeptness with timely responses to the evolving trends in consumer preferences. The QX30 powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-four with 208 hp with 258 lb-ft of torque that paired with a very smooth yet smart seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Infiniti also offers a QX30S that comes with a sport suspension with a 0.6 inch lower ride height, cross-drilled front brake rotors, sport seats, and a statements making 19-inch alloy wheels.
The QX30 features a split-folding second row that offers 19.2 cubic feet of spacious storage, allowing ample room for weekend travel. The all-wheel drive variants of the QX30 have 1.2 inches of extra ground clearance compared to their front-drive counterparts, which will allow to get-away to remote country retreats with unpaved or unplowed driveways.
We loved all the options, such as the Around View Monitor multi-camera parking aid, LED headlights, navigation, LED fog lights, panoramic-moon roof and the upscale and tasteful leather and wood touch-points in the 2017 QX30 vehicle we drove.
The QX30’s infotainment system is easy to use the screen is recessed into the dashboard, making the dash have a very streamlined appearance. The climate and audio controls are also a part of the infotainment system but for more intuitive use there are a set of buttons and knobs on the center stack, for small adjustments to the temperature or volume. With the optional premium 10-speaker Bose audio system each trip in the QX30 is a sensory indulgence.
