Refreshed Design Inside Out

Something kind of fabulous is going on at Mitsubishi has caught our attention thanks to the fabulous and bold redesign of the Eclipse Cross. A design that has created a massive leap forward into a very crowded field of competitors.

The 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is ready for its close-up thanks to a new bumper and the fantastic version of the Mitsubishi Dynamic Shield grille that added a bit of flavor to its appearance. The newly styled bisected lighting design is also a standout, featuring thin, high-mounted LED daytime running lights at the leading edge of the hood with integrated turn signal lamps just below.

New Interior Design

From the rear the completely restyled hatch and window, with a single-piece rear window, and revised hatch design, add both styling and cargo space benefits, as well as extra length, and one additional cubic foot of storage with the tonneau cover installed.

Inside Mitsubishi added upgrades such as driver and front passenger heated seats that are standard on LE, SE and SEL trims. A heated steering wheel is standard on the SEL trim, while the SEL with Touring package adds heated rear seats. The rear seats feature a standard reclining function, with nine distinct recline positions.

Thanks to the redesigned infotainment and new embedded navigation our road trip was seamless. The upgraded interior new eight-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio system, available on LE, SE, and SEL trims is a smart addition indeed.

One item of note is that Mitsubishi moved the touchscreen two inches closer to the driver and added features like volume and tuning knobs for easier use.

The Eclipse Cross is fitted with the company’s 1.5-liter MIVEC direct-injection turbocharged four-cylinder engine and it is engineered for eco-friendly and dynamic performance.

The redesigned Eclipse Cross with all its styling enhancements and sleek sporty SUV appearance is a bit of fresh air, and the truth is… never before has a Mitsubishi vehicle been so design-forward and this Eclipse Cross looks great in the showroom next to the all-new Outlander.

Eclipse Cross.
