Chic, smart and cosmopolitan are adjectives that exemplify the ambiance, cuisine, and experience at Intersect By Lexus NYC. From the new main floor lounge space, well-appointed outdoor dining experience to the modernly intimate upstairs bar and buzzing, blissful and handsome dining room the most minute of detail has been overseen with the attention of luxury engineering. Craft cocktails are created with unique botanicals and ingredients reflecting the unique intentions of the Chef in Residence. Intersect By Lexus NYC continues to astound, and is now under the direction of its sixth Chef-in-Residence, Chef, and Proprietor David Kinch of California’s three Michelin star Manresa.
Located in the village of Los Gatos at the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains south of San Francisco, Manresa showcases the inventive cuisine of renowned Chef and Proprietor David Kinch. Inspired by the California Coast—and the kind of ingredient-driven cooking and modern techniques he studied around the world—Kinch’s distinctive culinary perspective has put him at the forefront of contemporary California cuisine. Chef Kinch has been wowing all that visits Intersect with his California farm-to-table ideology.
We enjoyed the earthy and ‘green-tasting Sorrel cocktail – a sweet-tart of a palette cleanser and the perfect opening for the richness to come. Sharing two Bocales, the Salmon Rillettes and the Duck Foie Gras, accompanied with the perfectly toasted Levain from Manresa bread, was a rookie mistake. Each selection was so richly flavorful that we missed some sophisticated savoring with each alternative bite. While our perfectly engaging waiter suggested a single choice, her descriptions of each were so enticing that our enthusiasm overtook us, and truthfully we have no regrets.
Intersect by Lexus is run and managed by the Union Square Hospitality Group. The service standards set by its founder Danny Meyer are reason enough to experience any of their restaurants. At Intersect by Lexus, we chatted about ingredients with the bartender. During our dining experience, our delightful waiter guided us through the menu and shared her recommendations with wit and sapience.
With continued to yin yang our selections through our remaining courses and dessert, each a panoply of flavors and textures. The citrus-infused Striped Jack, Sashimi Style appetizer was cold-sea-fresh while the anchovy and caper-dressed Lamb Tartar, scoped on potato chips, was hardy and warming. On to fresh Black Sea Bass and Roasted Aged Duck, each showcasing refrain and elegant reverence to the quality feature.
The experience? The Food? Yeah, both! Our exceptional meal was truly a highlight of an overall very memorable evening. We highly recommend an evening, or two, at Intersect by Lexus this fall! Intersect by Lexus.
