Featured on prominent display in The Value of Good Design exhibition, at The Phillip Johnson Galleries in New York’s Museum of Modern Art is a classic Fiat 500 F Series. This 1968 model year car, first designed in 1957, was a wildly popular ‘city’ car. Designed to be affordable, utilitarian, and economical in both size and performance the Fiat 500 iconic Italian style evokes both smiles of nostalgia and delight upon entering the exhibit. The Fiat 500 F Series is designed with enduring élan and embodies democratic utility. The car is truly at home among the ‘good design’ objects, home furnishing, appliances and more in the exhibit, through May 27, 2019. MoMA.
