Designer Mike Amiri embodies cool. This talented tailor started his career hand-making bespoke and iconic rock and roll garb. Today his men’s and woman’s clothing are finely crafted odes to elevated street ware, California cool, and personal style.
Now considered one of the world’s premier menswear designers the Amiri collection for Winter 2022 is cool – cool enough to play with familiar tropes of menswear design and elevate them to his own. Most notably the checkboard pattern which highly reminiscent of other brands, yet fresh with the designer’s contrasting patterns and proportions and deft addition of patchwork. True, being derivative in men’s fashion is hard to avoid, after all, it is pants, shirts, jackets, and outerwear. This collection includes some brilliant pieces created by artist Wes Lang.
