A new Bespoke masterpiece the Rolls-Royce Phantom Platino

A Phantom Experience

Rolls-Royce’s design, like their younger clientele, is free-flowing, designed focused, current and vibrant. Designed with an appeal to the notion that style is all about individual expression. Gone are the stuffy tropes of success, and the buttoned-up boorish elders who now are thinking young, and even driving themselves, with great pleasure. This new clientele manages life on their terms, traveling to the beat, and dresses to their vibe. They are confidently rocking a Tom Ford jacket with an H&M t-shirt or pairing a Chanel top with Levis and a great heel making modern luxury exciting. The new Maybourne Riviera Hotel in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, on the spectacular Mediterranean overlooking Monaco, is also exciting. Fresh in spirit, attitude, and casual luxury and unmatched in its design, both inside and out the Maybourne Riviera is the perfect location for our Côte d’Azur immersion in the new Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II.

On The Côte d’Azur

This, the eighth-generation Phantom, is what our friends of Rolls-Royce are calling a ‘light-touch’ of visual and aesthetic enhancement in line with client requests and feedback. What Rolls-Royce has done is to retain the Phantom’s commanding presence, enhanced by a new polished horizontal line between the daytime running lights above the Pantheon Grille. This gives Phantom new and assertive modernity, reflecting its driver-focused character.

expression of mastery

A subtle geometric change to the Pantheon Grille makes the ‘RR’ Badge of Honour and Spirit of Ecstasy mascot more prominent when viewed from the front and impressively, the new grille itself is now illuminated. Looking closely at the headlights, one can see they are graced with intricate laser-cut bezel starlights, creating a visual connection with the Starlight Headliner inside, and adding further surprise and delight to Phantom’s night-time presence.

Phantom’s interior remains the envy of all. In this new Phantom, the steering wheel has been made slightly thicker, providing a more connected and immediate point of contact for the owner-driver. Now both Phantom and Phantom Extended have distinct characters of their own. The Phantom is now predominantly favored by the new younger owner wishing to be in the driving seat themselves, but for those preferring to command the road from the rear seat, the Phantom Extended will deliver a true super-luxurious chauffeur-driven experience.

Also now, Phantom includes the debut of ‘Rolls-Royce Connected’. This enables the owner to send an address directly to the car from Whispers, the Rolls-Royce private members Application, providing seamless navigation to an event, restaurant, dealership, or even the Home of Rolls-Royce itself.

Spending time in French Riviera with the new Phantom is kind of a coming home moment. This part of the world has been associated with Rolls-Royce since the first part of the 20th Century when the Côte d’Azur established itself as the playground of the rich. In 1912, Sir Henry Royce built a villa, La Mimosa, in the village of Le Canadel, where he subsequently spent every winter until he died in 1933, and to be here in the South Of France feting this Phantom would give Sir Henry Royce a massive, and well-deserved smile.
