Mark Ronson and Q-Tip preform at 4xFar
Mark Ronson and Q-Tip
I was extremely happy to be invited to Land Rover’s first 4XFAR Festival in Palm Springs, California. Far more a showcase for Land Rovers of all shapes and sizes the off-road courses and driving activities left me in awe of the power, performance, and style designed into every vehicle. The off-road course was insane and watching the new Land Rovers and Range Rovers take the hills and ramps like a champ made this long time and impatient city driver want to off-road into the sunset. The festival had a great line up of popular artists including Mark Ronson, Q-Tip, Sofi Tukker and many more. Maya Jones Coles performed a stellar House music set. The nighttime performance was magical. Great food, Sparkling lights, and an abundance of heat lamps kept everyone warm while the party went on into the evening.

Throughout the day there were so many activities to partake, including foraging edible plants, tight roping, yoga, mountain biking, outdoor cooking, photography, camping, and an enticing array of food to sample. If you got tired you could lounge in a hammock tied between two trees, or take a break in one of the outdoor lounges. And if you really wanted to be adventurous, they even had ax throwing.
One of my most memorable moments was getting to meet the stunt doubles from the new James Bond movie who had a blast driving the new Land Rover Defender. We all hit it off and talked for about an hour over drinks at the private reception tables, and they had a lot of stories to share with us. I don’t know if I would have it in me to take stunts to the level that they do, but I’m glad I will get to see what they’ve done on the big screen in a few months. The entire experience was great, and it seemed like this was a regular event that has been going on for years, rather than Land Rovers premier 4xFAR. It was very impressive to the current full line of Range Rovers and Land Rovers showcased in a display, and to also see previous and heritage models on back to the Makers start. As the festival came to end, and before my adventure-seeking took me to Joshua Tree with my husband and new puppy, I started thinking maybe it is time for a Range Rover Sport SVR to come into our life. #4xFAR Content By Daniel Miller

Advising women to run to their husband arms when they arrives home from work may not be message that resonates well today, but this song, message aside, is perfection. With a stellar vocal performance Cecile McLorin Salvant brings a new life to the stunning 1963 Bert Bacharach an
