We recently had the opportunity to drive the nimble and confident Nissan Rogue Sport from New York City to rural Connecticut. Our turned-out Rogue Sport, equipped with an intuitive control deck and a fine stereo, got us to our destination with ease. Among the subcompact SUV market the Nissan Rogue Sport stands ahead of the competition for its pricing, style and performance and we found the Rogue’s Sport pep invigorating on our trip to the Grace Mayflower Inn and Spa in Washington Connecticut. The Rogue Sport is about a foot shorter then Nissan’s Rogue and designed for younger drivers and hip empty nesters.
The Rogue Sport comes with a 141-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable transmission that had plenty the power to propel us on the highways. The Rogue Sport is completely responsive and we loved driving the roller coaster, curvy country roads in Connecticut. We also marveled at the quietness within the cabin, a feature that is not easy found in this automotive segment. Our Rogue Sport SL package came with six-way, power-adjustable, leather-covered driver’s seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 19-inch wheels, a surround-view monitor, and a 7-inch touch screen with navigation. The base S model’s seats comes with manual adjustments. You also get a 60/40-split fold-down rear seat that is fabulous for cargo carrying flexibility. Nissan’s Rogue Sport offers excellent handling, high-tech comforts, and with its compact styling comes a special agility that makes road trips, and daily commutes, a blast.
