The new Jaguar XE

Heritage Of Elegant Design

On our recent road trip from New York City to Newport Rhode Island, we had the great pleasure to experience the sleek new Jaguar XE. The team at Jaguar engineered this ‘baby Jag’ to be at the forefront of redefining the small sport sedan class in true Jaguar fashion. With its new exterior design, the XE has a more aggressive stance while keeping the fabulous proportions of the outgoing model. With contemporary design cues inspired by the F-TYPE, the XE has a wider and lower look with larger front apertures, bold graphics and muscular forms that shows off the car’s performance and advanced aerodynamics.

Beautifully Crafted

Jaguar XE

Walking up to the XE you notice the all-new LED headlights with a striking ‘J’ blade daytime running light signature that creates a more purposeful look. The back of the car also features a new bumper design and slender all-LED tail-lights with updated signature graphics which accentuate the visual width of the car, giving the XE a more planted appearance.

Inside is where the XE shines with new interior features extensive use of soft-touch materials, premium veneers and all-new door trims that improve usability and practicality. Every aspect of the cabin has been enhanced for increased convenience, improved stowage and better passenger comfort.

We were impressed with the new SportShift gear selector and JaguarDrive Control switch along with a new steering wheel, shared with the I-PACE, features hidden-until-lit graphics and tactile switches for intuitive control of key functions. For the first time, you will find a pair of seamlessly integrated high-resolution touch screens inside as well.

When driving the XE it is easy to forget it is a 4-door sedan. Driving in dynamic mode the car’s sporting character comes to life with faster gearshifts, sharper throttle response and increased steering weighting. The truth of the matter is that this is a 4 door sedan and every bit a Jaguar. Jaguar exaggerates the performance in premium sporty sedans with the XE and we greatly enjoyed our road trip and especially driving in sports mode on the highways. Jaguar XE.
