We really don’t want to call this a stationwagon. Within only moments in the car we knew this new offering from Jaguar outpaced our initial and naive classification. We really put this special Jaguar on the altimeter test with a road trip in the great state of Florida. We traveled the highways and backroads from Tampa to Winter Park before we heading to our stay at the oceanfront Zota Beach Resort on Longboat Key. Our bright red Jaguar XF Sportbrake was the true standout on the roads with its arresting low stance with sloping roofline. This Jaguar XF Sportbrake is designed to rounds out the automotive offerings from Jaguar.
For consumers interested in the crossover there were Jaguar’s E-Pace and F-Pace and now the XF Sportbrake is a refreshingly new option. With interior space to spare and excellent dynamics on the highway, we enjoyed a great ride and spacious comfort on our out-of-the way excursions to Honeymoon Island in Dunedin, Celebration near Orlando and on the highways between Orlando and Sarasota.
The XF Sportbrake is a one handsome ride with graphic lines that modernize a crossover like never before. “The XF Sportbrake is the embodiment of everything our brand stands for, bringing together Jaguar design and dynamics to create vehicles that excite the senses and support active lifestyles,” said Steven de Ploey, Global Marketing Strategy and Planning Director, Jaguar.
“It’s dynamic performance, desirable styling and cutting-edge technologies will introduce a new generation of drivers to Jaguar’s drive, passion and comfort.” This is the perfect car for weekend activity warriors who need space for their recreational pursuits.
One very cool feature of the new Sportbreak is the wearable Activity Key, which lets us lock the car while enjoying a hike without fear of losing your key. Another clever adjustment allowed us to set the maximum opening height for the tailgate to safeguard against accidents in low-ceiling indoor garages. Jaguar even went one step further with a range of accessories for the XF Sportbrake to personalize your ride. Styling enhancements range from carbon fiber accessories for the exterior, to personalized tread plates on the inside; a host of practical additions includes easy-to-fit cross bars for the low profile roof rails, and a comprehensive range of load space mats and liners. Looking back on our drive, we remember all the attention this new car was getting on the road and at the Zota Beach Resort where the valets gave us the prime parking spot, front and center at the resort.
