The all-new Hyundai Elantra’s refined design and modern style is a stand out among the compact car class. We tested the 2017 Elantra Limited, filled with options that would add thousands of dollars to the price for other cars in this class. We were impressed with the driver-assist features and the bright new improved in-dash display. With Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity you feel you are behind the wheel of a small German car. A new 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine offers a slight rise in horsepower and an updated suspension ramp from previous models, and ups the driving fun factor.
The 2017 model year marks the sixth-generation for Elantra and the all-new exterior design has the vibe of an expensive small sport sedan, and the cabin design echoes that feeling. From the outside the new hexagonal grille is statement making and the front corners recess into the bumper, which house new LED fog lamps. On the dash a seven-inch touch screen display is standard equipment.
The Limited we drove had an eight-inch screen. The luxury appointed Elantra Limited trim with standard leather seating also offers a Tech Package that contains the latest multimedia technology which including eight-inch touchscreen navigation with Infinity premium audio system and the segment’s first application of Clari-Fi® Music Restoration Technology. Additionally, the available Limited Ultimate package introduces premium convenience features to the compact class segment such as a segment-first integrated memory system for the driver seat and outside mirrors, and new safety technology all designed to enhance driver confidence and comfort. The Ultimate Package democratizes the technology found in class-above vehicles by offering a suite of advanced safety features including Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keep Assist System, and HID headlights with Dynamic Bending Light.
With a new driver-oriented design optimized for intuitive control, improved interior roominess with high-quality materials and premium technology features along with a contemporary exterior design integrates a premium look, the 2017 Hyundai Elantra is bringing obtainable style auto style to all.
