On UnnamedProject.com we focus on innovation and style. On our auto pages we cover everything with wheels, from Hyundai to Rolls-Royce and from Minis to Lamborghinis because they all make style statements that are relevant, noteworthy and interesting. We found the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Midnight Edition to be engaging for its design and much more. With its perfect proportions the stylish and capable Colorado ZR2 is in a performance class all of its own. It sits 2 inches higher than the standard Colorado and features a 3.5-inch-wider track. At home on the 405 or the LIE, the Colorado ZR2 off-road performance may have you finding shortcuts that never existed before. The off-road suspension with cast-iron control arms and segment exclusive Multimatic DSSV dampers insure both traction and comfort.
The Colorado ZR2 has the first off-road shocks to feature position-sensitive spool valve technology, making the truck equally adept on and off the road. To make it even more capable Chevy loaded it up with standard features include segment-exclusive front electronic locking differential, electronic locking rear differential, hill descent control, an aluminum skid plate that protects the radiator and oil pan, off-road rocker protection, Autotrac transfer case, transfer case shield, four-wheel disc brakes, modified rear axle with a 3.42 ratio and special off-rode mode setting.
At rest, the ZR2 distinguishes itself with its aggressive hood and grille combo and modified front and rear bumpers designed for better off-road clearance. Our test truck a Colorado ZR2 with the Midnight Edition featured an all-black exterior finish, black Chevy bow tie emblems and 17-inch five-spoke black accessory wheels, including the spare. The ZR2 Midnight also features a black sport bar with off-road LED lighting and ZR2 logos on the sport-bar sail panels. “The Colorado ZR2 Midnight and Dusk Edition models offer customers even more personalization choices from the only company with three distinct trucks: midsize, full-size and full-size heavy-duty,” said Jim Campbell, U.S. vice president, Truck Strategy, Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. “Chevrolet offers more choices because the truck market is too diverse for a ‘one size fits most’ strategy.” Colorado ZR2 Midnight Edition
