BMW ALPINA B7 xDrive
The BMW Alpina B7 xDrive matches unbridled performance possibilities with luxurious styling and advanced technologies to create a sports sedan unlike any other. Alpina Automobiles, the infamous German manufacturing company has been producing BMW’s for over 50 years and with this B7 a bit of supersizing ensued. Under the engineering and tuning of Alpina the all-new B7 received a bigger engine, larger brakes and stockier wheels in addition to performance enhancements that include firming the suspension while creating suspension settings for a discernible selection of drive modes. The Alpina B7 xDrive performance is beyond super-car-sedan expectations. Boasting twin-turbo V8 with 600-horse power and the ability to go from 0-60 in 3.6 seconds the BMW Alpina B7 is a driver’s car that safely will propel you onto the LIE or the 405 with ample muscle.
Designed with aerodynamics in mind the BMW Alpina B7 xDrive sports prominent front and rear spoilers. “The design blends form and function – the aerodynamic components reduce uplift on the front and rear axles to almost zero for maximum driving stability at all speeds,” details BMW.
The front of the B7 allows the flow of air to the high-performance cooling system and the statement making BMW kidney grille is fitted with an integrated air flap control system that automatically adapts, with opening or closure, to the BMW ALPINA B7 xDrive cooling needs.
The rear of the B7 is stylishly elegant and complimented by the sportiness of the integrated twin tailpipes. Thanks to our photographer for highlighting the exquisite paint finishing on the B7. Both the blue metallic and BMW Alpina Green metallic are hallmark features reserved solely for BMW Alpina automobiles. Other BMW and BMW Individual paint finishes are available for the new BMW ALPINA B7 xDrive.
Inside the handcrafted finery includes nappa leather seats, leather covered instrument panel, ceramic inserts on selected control elements, delicate seductive soft curves on both hard and soft elements throughout. Using exceptionally high-quality Lavalina leather, to cover the sports steering wheel and finished with blue and green stitching is a singular example of the fine attention to both tactile and visual details. Our test car featured the Myrtle Luxury Wood, the BMW Alpina interior trim and doorsills complete with blue illumination. We loved everything about this sedan including the standard BMW Alpina B7 xDrive full color Head-Up Display, rear view camera and the latest BMW navigation, communication and infotainment systems with sound from the exceptional Bower and WIlkins Stereo. The best way to understand everything and more about the Alpina B7 is to drive the Alpina B7, it will be a memorable experience.
